Help with Json code in SharePoint List column formatting

Hi all

 

I have set up an approvals flow which adds to a SharePoint List and updates the list as it goes. It's receiving the updates well enough, but the way the column is formatted seems to be wrong. I don't know coding, I've just copied it direct from this guy, so I can't tell if I've messed it up somewhere.

Here is the code that seems to be messing up:

Like, the information is definitely there, it's just not showing up. Maybe the font is set to the background colour? I'm not sure.

    It seems noone knows, I wasn't able to find another post with the same problem that had been answered. It took me a whole day, but here is the solution:

    Under the part that says formatter and elmtype div, put another line to say:
    "txtContent": "[$ColumnName]",
    I don't understand why, but it seemed to work. I hope that helps someone else.
