How can I reset invisible fields in a form?

Hi - I have an app with a form where several fields are either visible or invisible depending on a response to a drop down field within the same form.

So if the dropdown1 selection is No, then the fields become visible to allow the user to answer some supplementary questions, which also produce a scores in a separate datacards.

When an entry is submitted on the form, the form is set to reset. However when a user goes to create a new record, on what should be a new form, any fields that had been made visible for the previous record don't get reset. The one thing that I think might be causing this is because they are now invisible on the new form.

Has anyone come across this before and have any ideas how I can get invisible fields to reset for a new form? Thanks.

    Hi @RobWoodward ,

I cannot reproduce this issue, could you please share more details about what you have applied on your App?

    My settings:

Item of the form is blank.

    Hi there,

    So this is my form.

The onselect property of the Save Review button is this:

    SubmitForm(Form1); ResetForm(Form1);Navigate('Success screen'); Transition.Push

The OnSuccess property of Form1 is this:

    ResetForm(Form1)

The screen shot below shows the form. If the field highlighted Yellow is answered no, then the green highlighted fields change from invisible to visible(and a couple of others appear), and depending on the answer to the question, it gives a score - 50 in this case.

When the form is submitted and reset and a new record created, the fields become invisible again, but in the example in the screen shot the score of 50 will persist, when it should be reset to 0.

The icon property to create a new record on the form is OnSelect: NewForm(Form1);Navigate('Tabbed form - modern form, 1 form')

    Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

    Hi @RobWoodward ,

What's in default property of the Text input box?

    Best regards,

The green highlighted text input is linked to a choice column in lists- Further Inquiries, with 3 options, Yes, No & N/A.

The default property is ThisItem.'Further Inquiries'. The default property of Score - Further Indemnity inquiries is linked to a number column in lists, and its default property is ThisItem.'Score - Further indemnity inquiries'

    Hi @RobWoodward ,

I think what you gave me were Default of Data Cards rather than Text input boxes.

    Hi

Sorry you are right I did, the DefaultSelectedItems of the Yes,No, NA drop drop down is Parent.Default and there is no Default property for the number box, but the value is: If (DataCardValue23.Selected.Value = "Yes", 50, 0), where datacardvalue23 is the Yes, No, NA dropdown.

    Hi @RobWoodward ,

So, do you mean even when datacardvalue23 is blank, number box is 50?

    Best regards,

No the number box only shows 50 if datacardvlalue23 = Yes, otherwise it shows 0, which is what it should show when the form is reset

    Hi @RobWoodward ,

You mentioned that there is no Default property for the number box made me wonder if the control you are using is not a Text Input box. Can you confirm this?

    Best regards,
