Trying to Automate sending a Birthday email based on an a date in Excel

I have been at this for a week, reading and watching videos and I just can't get it to work.  I have a spreadsheet which lists all of the employees and their birthdays.  The birthdays are listed by day and month only.  I have my flow built to look at the rows, birth date and I am trying to get it to equal today.  If it equals today, then send an email out to a group with a birthday message.  I have the file saved in OneDrive, and my head feels like it might explode.  What am I doing wrong here.

    Hi there,

Don't feel bad -- Excel is a huge jerk when it comes to dates and translating them to Power Automate.

Question, though - if you only have month / date in your Excel sheet - is it using a date format, or have you got them typed in as text? A quick way to tell is if you select the column and change it to "Text", does it turn into a number like 44701?

If it's a date format, then there is a year in the back of it - so you are tracking a year as well, and, probably not the one you'd want (I'd guess!)

    Cheers,

    Rhia

I do have it formatted to date format MM-dd, and if I understand you correctly you are saying it is because I don't have the year included.  I figured I could use the current year, it doesn't make a difference.

I think this is where the problem is.... that is exactly all I have in there.  I know it's not right.

In the right field you have to use an expression. Click it to see "Add dynamic content..." window, select Expression tab and place there the proper expression.
