Sharepoint flow creation

Hello, my first post here so excuse me if it was covered already. Im trying to make a Flow between Sharepoint and Outlook. I have a SharePoint created where I have listed a few spare laptops which I can provide to my colleagues in case of need. I have a column in that share point that is a drop-down menu and in it Im changing the status of a specific laptop. I want to automate this like the following: Based on the status of the drop-down to send a specific email to a specific user/group of users. I have reached the point where I can do everything but cannot get the correct trigger based on the value of the column. Would highly appreciate some help 🙂

    Welcome to Power Automate community!
    I can see two possible approaches:
    -First one is to select the target item and click on a button manually to launch your flow. Trigger: For a selected item
    -Second one is to execute the flow automatically only if somebody changes the value of your Status column. Trigger: When an item is created or modified. Please note in this second scenario there is a risk if you do not design your conditions carefully to enter in an infinite loop

    If you share a screenshot of your both flow design and SP list columns definition, hopefully e can provide you further support
    Hope this helps

    Im going for the second option. I have created: When an item is created or modified an under it Im placing a condition If Yes and cannot get the correct trigger value. As per below and where I need some helpAnnotation12.png

    @SectorOMEGAA

    Since your Status column is an option column, you need to reference "Status Value" from Dynamic properties in your condition rather than "Status".

    OK and if I select status value as suggested, then it should be equal to one of the statuses listed in the choices, correct?

    You are correct - the text you enter should match the text seen in the choice column.

    Thank you so much for this. It worked as I wanted to 🙂
