Issue with Skipping row after it has been added to outlook

Hi there, I have an issue. Essentially this flow pulls data from an excel sheet (the data cannot be deleted).

It reads from the excel sheet daily and places calender events accordingly in the users outlook (FINE)!

However what I need to do is to get it so it skips a row if it contains (...), I did try this however I couldnt get it working, I cannot use delete a row.

I reverted back to where I know its working. Please let me know what I may need to do.

Do you mean if a row contains something, or a particular column in a row contains something?

If column, then you should be able to exclude those rows using the Filter Query in your List rows present in a table. And if column, what is the column name?

If the row has already been added to outlook as an event.

Alternatively to this, I can modify the row after the outlook function and then exclude it if it contains the modified cell.

However using the ODATA query for this doesn't seem to work.

Ah sorry, I get it now. Essentially you want to start off with only new rows that have been added.

If possible, can you add an additional column to your Excel file where you can potentially record that it's already been added as an event?

Also, do any of the columns in your Excel Table contain unique values that help to identify each record?

That is correct, if it has already been added then it should skip it. I can add an additional column named added to calendar and then it can modify it to say yes.  Do you happen to know what I need to put in for it to skip column'' if contains yes? then skip / stop processing

They do, but I won't be able to control it and it might not work 100%

Here's an example where it updates the rows that have been actioned (added as an event) and the next flow run will exclude those. Note that for this to work we need a column that can uniquely identify each row. In my example Title is unique.

    My Excel file.

And my flow. It has a Filter Query to only return rows where Actioned is not equal to "Yes". And directly after an event is added that row gets its Actioned set to "Yes", so it won't be picked up in the next flow run.

If you don't currently have something that can uniquely identify each row, then you can add a new column to the Table called ID and set a formula on it so it displays the current row number which will always be unique. We can then use this as our Key Column and Key Value when updating the rows.

The formula in my case (using the Title field as reference) is:

    =ROW([@Title])

Hi there thank you for your help, I got it so its skipping it as below.

However, when we running it with yes under 'actioned' it is duplicating the 2nd one still?

That might be because Excel can take a while for the updates to come through. If you are running the flow very frequently (every 2-3 minutes, etc.) then this could still happen.

Is there a chance that you could not have this in Excel, but rather a MS/SharePoint List?

Hey there, I thought the same so I added the recurrence every 10 minutes  to see if this is a remedy.

    I will let you know
