Building grid view

Hi,

I am trying to build a grid view in power app.

My gallery is connected to a collection and collection is created on button select.

On any change in the gallery I use Patch to update my collection.

When I test application I noticed that som of the columns does not want to accept value at all, other takes value but after short time some values can disappear from the records. Gallery behaves very stange.

can it depend on the fact that I am using mix of modern and classic controls in the gallery so some problems appear when Patch function is executed?

Appreciate you help

    Do you have a timer that updates your fields ? could you share screenshots of all the default values of your fields and the btn Patch OnSelect ?

    hi

    My Button has the following code ClearCollect(colGridData,'Bypass List')

    Vertical gallery Item property is connected to the colGridData

    Every control in the gallery has the following code OnChage -  Select(Parent)

    My Galley OnSelect has the following Patch(
    colGridData,
    ThisItem,
    {
    'Date&Time': 'Date&TimeControl'.SelectedDate,
    'Equipment ID': EqptID.Selected,
    'Bypass Description': BypassDisc.Value,
    'Bypass Reason': BypassReasonControl.Value,
    'Bypassed Component': BypassComp.Value,
    Criticality: CriticalityControl.Selected,
    'Approval Status': AppStatus.Selected,
    'Manager Approved': ManagerApp.Selected,
    Shift: ShiftControl.Selected,
    Status: StatusControl.Selected,
    'Bypass Type': BypassTypeControl.Selected,
    'Closure Date&Time': ClosureDateControl.SelectedDate,
    'Closed By': ClosedByControl.Selected
    }
    )

    When I run this press my Button everything works fine and my colGridData gets all the records from the Bypass List, then when I change values in my records it calls patch function to temporary save data in colGridData and it behaves very strange. I can change on value in any record or more and one time it works another time values in other records disappear. What I noticed that more records I change more strange grid behaves. Also when I change a value in any columns of my record nothing happens but instead new record is created in the end of my list, which means that Patch could not find the existing record

    Notice I am not saving to my data source yet because I can not get this part working stable.
