How to avoid Delegation while filtering Gallery data based on Last modified record in large data set

Hi All,

Sharepoint is my data source and have large data set. I am trying to filter data based on dropdown selection. I have two scenarios,

1. Filter based on dropdown selection.

2. Filter based on dropdown selection and filter records which are not modified in past 5 days.

Referred https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sharepointonline/#power-apps-delegable-functions-and-operations-for-sharepoint , and I could confirm filter, >= will be delegable for DateTime.

But in my case, i am getting delegation warning.

Could anyone please clarify on this?

Thanks.

    Hi @suriyamv07 ,

    It is the time (days) formula which is not Delegable - try this

    With(
     {
     wDate:
     DateAdd(
     Today(),
     -5,
     Days
     )
     },
     Filter(
     *******
     ***** = Dropdown.Selected.Result &&
     Modified <= wDate
     )
    )

    Also, please remember to post your code in Text and (even if you change the names) include the whole formula rather than redacting it.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    Thanks for responding and have noted your point.

    Still i am receiving delegation issues. Please find the below screenshot,

     DateAdd(
     Today(),
     -5,
     Days
     )
     },
     Filter(
     'SP_ListName,
     'Column1' = Team_Dropdown.Selected.Result &&
     Modified <= wDate
     )
    )

    Hi @suriyamv07 ,

    It should be Delegable and I do not get one on the test below

    WarrenBelz_0-1665570789682.png

    I am assuming 'Column 1' is a Single Line of Text field ?

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    Yes Column1 is a Single line text.

    But i have two dependent dropdowns before coming to the Column 1(in screenshot, it is dropdown 3).

    Is there any other modification need to be done on here?

    Thanks.

    @suriyamv07 ,

    Can you please post the entire block of code (in Text - change names if you have to) and where you are using it. The Filter is delegable if used as I see it now.

    @WarrenBelz :

    For my first dropdown i am taking values from another list(List2 - Team Details) and column is in type of "Single line text".

    First dropdown formula,

    Distinct('Team Details', 'Team_Name_Column')

     Second dropdown is connected with List 2(Team Details),

    Distinct(Filter('Team Details', 'Team_Name_Column' =delegationTeamChoice.SelectedText.Value), 'Team_Section_Column')

    Third dropdown is connected with List 2(Team Details),

    Distinct(Filter('Team Details', 'Team_Section_Column' = Subdropdown.Selected.Result),'Team_Dept_Column')

    List 2 Name = Team Details and below are its column names,

    Team_Name_Column,

    Team_Section_Column,

    Team_Dept_Column.

    My gallery is connected with Main Sharepoint List. List name - "Data to Site",

    With(
     {
     wDate:
     DateAdd(
     Today(),
     -5,
     Days
     )
     },
     Filter(
     'Data to Site',
     'Team_Section_Column'= Subdropdown.Selected.Result &&
     Modified <= wDate
     )
    )

    In my source list ( "Data to Site"), below are the column data type structure,

    Team_Name_Column - Choice column

    Team_Section_Column - Single Line Text

    Team_Dept_Column - Single Line Text

    Thanks.

    @suriyamv07 ,

    Based on your field types, there is no reason that the filter should not be Delegable and my testing confirms this.
