using text inputs to populate a SharePoint List

Hello,

I have used the patch function to move data from text inputs in PowerApps to a SharePoint List in the past, but am struggling with it for some reason.  typically what I have done was to select the input I am looking for and add a ".text" to the end but this is not working for me and keeps saying the code is invalid.  Any suggestions as to why?  Thank you.

    Hi @RyanBourbon1 ,

Try a capital T in Text

    Hi Warren,

Thanks for the response. I have tried that and still nothing. When I put the period in I normally get suggested options but none of that is populating even when the text input does show up.

    Hi @RyanBourbon1 ,

If that is a Modern control you need .Value

Thanks for the reply.  Oddly enough I found out that when I removed the UpdateContext section I was able to get .Text to populate under the patch function.  It must have been the semicolon, thanks!
