Run a flow 10 minutes after a new record is created, but only if the record has not been opened

Hi All

I am using Common Data Services to store my data and am developing a Model Driven app to use that data.

I have a flow that creates a new Lead record with data parsed from an incoming email, and then sends me a notification telling me that a new Lead has arrived. At that point I need to spring into action and try to get in touch with the person making the enquiry (who has been set up as a new contact by the flow).

But sometimes I won't be able to spring into action! So I want the system to send an email to this person if I haven't got in touch with them within 10 minutes.

I thought that maybe I could set the Status Reason of the record to "Opened" (from "Received", which is what it is set to when the record is created) so my delayed flow knows whether or not I have opened the record - but I'm not sure how to change a field value automatically when a record is opened.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could go about this?

Thanks!

Simon

If you are trying to change the value of the Status Reason of the Lead in your Model Driven App,  you can use either .js or potentially a Flow in order to change the value of Status Reason, and update the value to the CDS DB.

    Thanks for replying @mcin9781

I'm only a beginner with power apps, but I guess ".js" is javascript, which will be beyond my capabilities, so I think I'll leave it for now.

    Thanks again.
