Modern Text Auto Height with custom Font Size issue

I may be using this incorrectly but the modern text Auto Height function seems to not work correctly on custom font sizes, it doesn't increase the height enough resulting in a scroll bar for the text and in some cases the text is cutoff.

I attached a picture as an example using the same text
Left is old text font Segoe, font size 20, auto height on, wrap on - no scrollbar next to text

Right is new text font Segoe, font size 20, auto height on, wrap on - scrollbar next to text and cut off at the bottom, increasing the font weight makes this even worse, where even to top is cutoff and can't be scrolled up to view the text.

Also as an aside, why is the same font size number resulting in such different font sizes? Just curious because all modern controls seem to be smaller especially on phone layouts

    Hi ,  @ChaoticBee

As searched , The font size is different from the classic and modern control in Power Apps.

The difference arises from the unit of font size: modern control uses pixels, while classic control uses points.

    • To convert pixels of modern control to points in classic control , simply divide the font size value by 0.75
    • Vice versa, you can convert the font size of classic control to pixels by multiplying it by 0.75

And for the scrollbar , i test it in my side , it will also the same result in your side when i enable the "Auto height" option in my side.

So if you don't want to have a scroll bar, I suggest you turn it off..

    Thanks for the explanation @v-yueyun-msft

I know I can turn it off but I still want my textbox to expand with it's content, just don't want the scrollbar and there doesn't seem to be a toggle just for it. Guess I'll just have to wait for it to be fixed.
