wrong time shown in SharePoint. PowerApps is showing right time. Time zone issue

Hi!

I created a sharepoint page that consists of all countries' from Asia databases. The time zone of the sharepoint is currently sync with my country's time zone (GMT +8). Someone from Thailand informed me that the sharepoint is showing (GMT +8) while powerapps is showing their time zone (GMT +7). When I checked her sharepoint setting, it shows her country's time zone (GMT +7) but I am unsure why the records in the sharepoint are still adjusted to my country's time zone (GMT +8) in the sharepoint.

Please help! Thank you!

    Hi @pira14 ,

When viewing SharePoint all times will show any adjustment for the user's local regional settings. I have just opened a SharePoint site which has a date/time field (actually flight departures) where the SharePoint site has a Regional setting of UTC + 8 and I am at UTC + 10. All times in both SharePoint and Power Apps show two hours ahead of the actual departure time. If I change my PC regional settings to UTC + 8, I see the correct times in both interfaces.

SharePoint actually stores dates in UTC in the background and how they are displayed (in both SharePoint and Power Apps) is determined by the User's Regional settings (it displays the user's actual "local" time equivalent for the SharePoint server's time - if you are an hour ahead of the server, users in the server's time zone will see the "true" time and your time seen will be an hour ahead). So in a short answer. what you are seeing is what is to be expected.

When you look at a SharePoint site, the times you see might not match the actual time if your computer's settings are different from the site's settings. SharePoint stores times in a way that might make them appear a few hours off for you. It's like having a clock set to a different time zone than where you actually are. So, if you're seeing times that seem a couple of hours ahead, it's because of this difference in settings. @pira14
