Creating item is not created new item in list 2

Hi ,

I have a flow that when an item is created or updated in list 1 it will update or create an item in list 2. Now when i run the flow it says successful but it is not creating a new item in list 2. It is updating ok .

Be grateful if someone could help me out. Thanks

Hi @martyb_123

did you checked the run results ? just see if the update/create action has been executed or not ?

There is a green tick and says flow run successful on the create item

The reason why it occured it very simple, for Create item , you have wrapped it around Get Items value which is not needed as Create item should work when output from get items is zero, which is current condition satisified.

So , if you see Create Item in run results has been greyed out as it hasn't executed in real. The flow design should be like this:

Sorry i should add that lists 1 are document library's.

I have a excel document template in list 1 with i open and re save to another name into the same library (list 1).
Not sure if this has anything to do with it not working

Hi Nived,
Yes that correct and also update the columns on the list. If a new document is added to list one it will be added to list 2 and the columns on the list updated. Any exsisting items will just be updated . Thanks Martin
