I use Microsoft forms for the internal users to submit the request. In the attachment I have allowed pictures, excel, word doc and pdf.. I have built a power automate flow to fetch the uploaded files from SharePoint and send an approval email. When a user attaches pictures or pdf the flow works fine..

But if anyone uploads excel or word the flow fails at the get content from file path step..

A bit of analysis shows that the path that it picks the images and pdf from is different than the path which gets picked up for excel and work which is not where the file is..

can anyone help resolve this issue?

Everything should get loaded to the creator's OneDrive, and then moved out of there.

Are you able to show your flow's configuration, and screenshot examples of what you're talking about?

all the files uploaded using Microsoft form are stored in same location in Creators OneDrive.

I was not able to understand exact issue you are facing.

you mentioned "I have built a power automate flow to fetch the uploaded files from SharePoint and send an approval email."

from this i am guessing you have two flows one which uploads the files from one drive to sharepoint and other flow which picks the file from sharepoint and trigger the approval email. you are facing issue in second flow.

As others have said, the files are stored in OneDrive. I have not seen it do anything else. Since you don't show your flow and you do not say what you are trying to do except get the content of each file, maybe what I posted at Re: Recording Form Responses to SharePoint List - ... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com) will also help you. It gets each file attached to a MS Forms submission and then attaches it to a SharePoint list item. Depending on you needs, you just need to adapt the instructions after the Get file content action.

Are you getting any error messages? If so, what is the error message?
