PowerApps Portal multiselect workaround for hard-coded options

Hi community

I applied the approach in Nick Hayduck's post to achieve the multiselect-option-set and got that working fine.

Nick Hayduck's post for reference: https://www.engineeredcode.com/blog/powerapps-portals-multiselect-option-set

Near the end of the post, it mentions alternate ways to prevent hard-coding the 'options'.

"Another option would be to use a global option set for your multiselect option set, and create another dummy regular option set field that you could add to your form that you could use to populate the possible values."

I have created the 'regular' option set field as suggested, but am not able to get its options onto the multiselect field.

Has anyone achieved this workaround?

    Thank you @ragavanrajan

I have had a look at the article thanks. One of my multiselect has 20+ options so would this approach still work for that? And will selected values still populate the original multiselect field in D365?

In our application, we have 24 multi-select options and our clients are happy with that. This approach is using choice but rendering as multi-select.

The alternative would be to build a PCF component with a multi-select option.

    Hope it helps.
