Power Apps iOS app hijacks Dynamics URI scheme?

I'm facing a problem having both the Dynamics 365 mobile app and the Power Apps mobile app installed on the same iPhone.

Specifically, if the Power Apps mobile app is installed, it hijacks the ms-dynamicsxrm scheme(!) so that I can't use URLs to open the Dynamics 365 mobile app.

Whether this is caused by some horrendous oversight on MS' behalf, or if I just don't get the most modern way of doing this, I don't know. I would really appreciate if somebody who has encountered the same issue could let me know if fixing this is a dead end or not,

H.

I believe that the new Power Apps app covers both Canvas and Model Driven Apps, so you no longer need the Dynamics mobile App.  There was a time when you needed both, Dynamics for Model driven and Power Apps for Canvas.  But I believe that MS has now included both sets of functionality in the Power Apps app.  So you should no longer need the Dynamics app.  This blog article has the announcement.

Thank you so much for your response - it really helps clarify things.

My issue is related to linking back to Dynamics PSA, and it seems the Power Apps mobile app isn't quite there yet. It seems a bit strange to reroute the URI scheme before the functionality is almost complete, but that's just my opinion. 😕

Anyways, thanks again - I'll mark your answer as the solution since it saves me (and, hopefully, others) from wasting time looking at this issue.

I looked a bit at the info.plist of the iOS app, and it appears the ms-auth-dynamicsxrm:// scheme still leads to the Dynamics 365 app.
