ComboBox Not Filtering as Expected

I'm having issues with the combobox that has choices tied to it from my Dataverse table. I'm trying to filter my gallery with a search function and filter function, but I get an "Incomplete types for comparison. These types can't be compared: Table,OptionSetVaule". I'm following a video from @RezaDorrani but I can't get passed this part. My choices don't appear. in my combobox as well

My Gallery "Items" Property code:

Search(
  Filter('Test Claims Table Dataverses','Policy Year' = ComboBox1.Selected.Value),
    TextInput1.Text,
    "cr8a0_notes"
)

My ComboBox  "Items" Property code:

Choices('Test Claims Table Dataverses'.'Policy Year')

    Hi @Cwilliams12 ,

    I just noticed the column type is Choices (plural), meaning that multiple options can be entered. As such, the column should be treated as returning a table:

    Search(
     Filter('Test Claims Table Dataverses', ComboBox1.Selected.Value in 'Policy Year'),
     TextInput1.Text,
     "cr8a0_notes"
    )

    If this was a mistake, you can change it to a Choice (single) column in which case the formulas you posted in the opening post should do the trick.

    @BCBuizer Thanks for the follow up! That code does get the error to go away but my dropdown is unresponsive when selecting a year. The gallery doesn't move at all when selecting any policy years/choices from my dropdown. Can you please help me with this?

    Hi @Cwilliams12 ,

    After doing some tests this is a formula that seems to be working for me:

    Search(
     Filter(
     'Test Claims Table Dataverses',
     IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Value) || ComboBox1.Selected.Value in 'Policy Year'.Value
     ),
     TextInput1.Text,
     "cr8a0_notes"
    )

    @Cwilliams12 If you are analyzing data in Power BI and have few records in that new Table you could use just Dataverse to write to it and use your larger SQL Server to read only from it. In Power BI you can analyze from both seamlessly and associate with each other.

    if you have multiple numbers in a field you can use Split formula and for each one you could take different action depending on what you want to present, even get information from multiple columns even across multiple tables.
