Deleting Teams Chats w\ Chat Bot

Posted on by 6

Hello, I recently implemented a chat bot that allows end users to contact the help desk via group chat.

The only problem is that the group chats makes the chat list pretty cluttered for the help desk agents.
Would it be possible to add a command to the bot so that it would close or hide a group chat upon typing a keyword (!delete or !hide)?

Any help/tips would be appreciated.

    Hi @JakeC20 ,

By default, it's not possible using a Power Automate connector or a Power Virtual Agents bot without coding something.

You can vote for this idea: Teams Actions - Chat Automation - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

Otherwise, you can make a pro-code flow (Power Automate) that receives the chat name via Power Virtual Agents bot, then search the chat name in your workflow, then, call an action to execute a Microsoft Graph command: chat: hideForUser - Microsoft Graph beta | Microsoft Docs

    But it's not simple.

Let me know if you need anything else.
