how to have color in the input text box when it select to edit.. i still cannot get it.

Hi

 

I still cannot get it.. I have a icon edit -

Set(varCheckBox2,true)

 

when click it will open the Box to edit, I want it to also color in light grey so that user know.. .. how to?   Thanks
