1. Question :  how can i see only the active project in association form.

2. Question 2 : can i choose the active project form and submit the data in the form.

Please help ( i am not able to add the active project view to the lookup of the project.

    Hi @PreetiVerma - appreciate English might not be your native language but this post is not making sense to me.

    If I had to guess, you have a Gallery control in your app (I assume you know what a Gallery is). In the Gallery, you only want to display only records from the Projects table where Status fields equals "Active".

    When a user selects a record from the Gallery, you want the Edit Form control in your app to be populated with the selected record.

    Is that correct?

    Let me illustrate with an example: I have two Dataverse tables with three columns each: name, status, and ID. In the first table, named "Projects," we have entries for three projects: Project 1 with an active status (which is the default status column when we created the Dataverse table), Project 2 also with an active status, and Project 3 with an inactive status. When I established a one-to-many relationship with an association table, the project lookup was automatically generated in the association table. Now, when I created an app and added an edit form, I needed to display only the projects with an active status in the dropdown menu within the form, not in the gallery.

    @PreetiVerma - in the DataCard for the LookUp field, remove the Choices function from the Items property of the ComboBox embedded in that DataCard, and replace the formula with:

    Filter(
     'Your Project Table',
     'Status' = 'Status (Your Project Table Plural Name)'.Active
    )

    Do not make any other modifications to that DataCard.

    Regarding the plural name, usually intellisense will automatically provide the correct syntax you need, but in case you need it, you can identify the plural name for your table by opening your table in Dataverse and selecting the properties window:

    Actually I learned that Data Verse offers a default view, such as the active project view. How can I leverage this feature instead of using formulas?

    @PreetiVerma - even for Views, a formula will still be required. However, the formula will be automatically created for you.

    1. Select the ComboBox
    2. Remove the existing formula in the Items property
    3. Select your data source from the data source property (your project table)
    4. You will notice the "Views" option will now become visible
    5. Select the Active view.

    If you select your ComboBox control and look at the Items property, you will notice the required formula has now been automatically generated

    As mentioned in my previous post, do not modify anything else in the DataCard.

    okay, Got it. Thank you so much for your help.

    Can I show the multiple column  in the dropdown from the parent table.

    like I have choice : Project1,Project2 and so on. I want to display the Project name and project number so that user will easily identify the which project needs to be selected instead of the name only.

    @PreetiVerma - please remember to accept the solution to the original question prior to asking a new question.

    Regarding the new question, the simplest option is to simply change the ComboBox layout to Double, and then select the Project Number as a secondary field:

    Another option is to embed a Label control into the DataCard and display the associated Project Number. For example you can apply the below for onto the Text property of the Label:

    Coalesce(
     DataCardValue1.Selected.'Your Related Field',
     ThisItem.'Your Related Field'.'Project Number'
    )
