Gallery navigates to screen with View Form and Edit Form; Edit Form has different data source

Hello,

I am newer to PowerApps. I have an App with 2 screens, the first with a Gallery that navigates to the next screen. The next screen has 2 forms, one a Display Form that gives additional details about the record selected from the gallery (using varEditTask), and an Edit Form. The gallery and Display Form both use one dataverse table, the Edit Form uses another dataverse table. I have a matching id called monitoring_id in both tables.

The navigation from gallery screen to second screen works fine and shows me the correct data in the Display form, but the Edit Form is empty. How can I get this second form, using a different table, to populate data based on the gallery selection?

Sorry this is probably a pretty basic question but any help is appreciated!

    The Item of the second form should be something like this
    LookUp(
       SecondListName,
       monitoring_id = GalleryName.Selected.monitoring_id
    )
