Hi !

I am building a canvas app and have 2 dropdowns. The first dropdown shows the facility and once selected the departments for the facility selected should show. It worked the first time, but now it's not working.  Help please, what am I doing wrong?

Data source: SharePoint list Departments Table

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Two things you may pay more attention:

    1. When using Filter function, we need to compare with the control itself, instead of with the DataCard. So, find the dropdown control name inside your Facility_DataCard1(format like DataCardValueX), and change your formula to somethings like this:

    Filter(Departments_Table,CODE=Controlname.Selected.Result)

So see my example, I should use formula like this:

    Filter(MyListName,ColumnName=DataCardValue5.Selected.Result)

    valbaimsft_3-1628561385981.png

    2. What is the CODE in your formula? Is this the SharePoint column name that keeps your Department information? If yes, your formula should be like this:

    Filter(Departments_Table,Facility=DataCardValueX.Selected.Result).CODE

    Best regards,

    Allen

I actually tried this and worked

    Distinct(Filter(Departments_Table, Facility = Facility_dropdown.Selected.Result),Department)
