DatePicker date writes a 2 year in advance date into SharePoint list

We have a PowerApp that does some simple time registration, we use a DatePicker that writes a date into a SharePoint list (and other data as well). On my Iphone 6s & Surface Pro 4 it works just fine, however for other users (iphone 7 and huawei) it does not write for the year 2018 but 2020, the datepicker of the app clearly shows 2018 but in the sharepoint list it is 2020. When the same users try it on their computer (PowerApp studio in browser, surface pro also) it works as it should.

Anyone have an idea what can be the cause of this? I am quite sure its not TimeZone related cause well, 2 years is just to much isn't it 🙂

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

My mobile device is Android device (Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro) and the version of it is 7.1.1. The version of PowerApps Mobile app within my android device is 3.18052.6.

Please check if the version of their Mobile device is the latest version, if not, please upgrade to the latest version. In addition, please also check if the version of PowerApps Mobile app is the latest version within their mobile phone, if not, please update it to the latest version.

Please also take a try to re-install the PowerApps mobile app within their mobile phone, then check if the issue is solved.

Sorry for my late reply i was on holliday.
So this is solved, the cause was a combination of office default datetime format and date time formatting in PowerApp.
After testing out several (if not almost all) formats we managed to get proper and desired results. We are using DateTimeFormat.ShortDateTime24 now instead of trying it manually between quotation marks.
