I'm trying to test out the copy files between Box and SharePoint flow. I was able to set up the connections for each application and I know that it is working at some level because I'm able to browse the Box folder structure when setting the Box parameters for what folder to watch and it does trigger when a new file is added.
However, the "box - When a file is created" step fails with a 403: Forbidden error. Anyone have experience with Box integrations and have an idea what is failing here? I'm a co-owner of the folder and co-admin of our Box account, so I don't think my permissions (which the Flow is currently running under) are the issue.
I just figured out the problem. Recently we implemented Box's Shield product and the access policy in place that covered that particular folder blocked all external apps from downloading content. I changed it to block all except a white list and added Power Automate to the white list, then it worked like a charm.
There's always something...
Edit: in case anyone else needs to see where this setting is, go to your Box admin console, click Shield in the left-hand nav, open the relevant access policy, and click Edit. Look for a security control called "Application Restriction."
Hello @ToddC ,
I was able to find this hopefully it sheds some light on the issue your having.

Actually I'm the Box admin and the account I'm using right now is mine (technically a co-admin account). I have co-owner access to the folder and can browse the Box folder structure when setting up the Flow (again, connecting under my own account), so it isn't that the account doesn't have access to the Box folder. I haven't been able to find anything helpful in Box's reporting to isolate exactly what on the Box end is returning the 403 response.
Hello @ToddC,
In reviewing your post it appears that the user connection in your trigger you are trying to use to connect to the Box.com path does not appear to have access to that path.
If the user that is used for the connection is a valid user for the Box.com account you may need to work with the Box.com administrator to confirm access for that user.
Hope this helps! 😊
