Help with a Dataverse specficic role

Hi there, we're new to Power Apps and are looking for some help in setting up some roles.

 

One requirement we have is the ability for a user to create, edit, delete etc on Dataverse only - and only via Power Apps, not via the backend/admin side.

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

    Hi @charliecharlie2 ,

    Yes this is how it works because the level of access is contingent on the Security Role.

     

    If we are not talking about Dataverse for Teams (which is a bit different) - only users who are granted with either a Dynamics 365 Service Admin, Office 365 Power Platform Admin, System Admin and System Customizer role will have access to the underlying tables.

     

    In the below example, the user has been given a custom security role which grants access to the Canvas App, as well as permission to read, edit, create and delete items in the tables from the Canvas App interface. However, this is what they see if they try to access the underlying Table directly:
