Hi Creators,

I've a unique situation, A form with all "Required Feilds" when submitted not showing up errors. (attached images 1 & 2)

  1. When I submit the form without any data for 1st instance when I open the App, it respects the validation and shows up all the required fields with the error message. (attached image 1)
  2. Here comes the main issue, For all the next subsequent Form submissions with out any data - the ComboBoxs are Not respecting the validation. The Comboboes are getting submitted without any data upon submit. (attached image 2)

Please review and comment with any solutions and questions if any.

All your help is much appreciated.

Pleas note : I'm very new to Power Apps,.

Regards,

Vish

    Hello @vinay14sep ,

Every forms, when submitted, use the value provided in "Update" of their datacards.

Could you check their property to see if they are referencing the combobox selected item?

    @WiZey ,

    Hi,

For all the Comboboxes the "Update" on data card is "DataCard.Selected". (dot nothing - value or text, when i tried unlocking them adding .value or .text- it gave an error)

However, I noted the data card which are of text columns has "DataCard.Value" in Update on Datacard.

Are you opening the form with "EditForm()" or "NewForm()" each time you want to edit or create a record?

You can also try resetting the form with "ResetForm()", maybe that'll clear up some data messing with the validation.

What type of column are you using for your "Hiring Departement"? Is it Choice-type or Lookup-type?

Hi, I'm opening a new form from the button Onselect as :

Hiring Department and other missing behaving Datacards are of Modern Comboboxes . Choice-Type with list of options.

After several trails and struggles, I could find this formula giving me results that i need. ( don't know how good this is).

I've changed Update section as follows.

    If it works it works.

Maybe you don't need the "newMode" variable, you could simply compare the form's "Mode" property and check if it's equal to "FormMode.New".

Thanks for your reply and help.

Yes, I've taken out "newMode" to "true".

and yes, newMode is equal to "FormMode.New".
