Check if Employee is Out of Office

As a Flow Administrator, I need the ability to check if the employee is out of office, so I can have an alternative to the flow when they are not in the office.

Example:

My flow creates tasks for individuals in Microsoft Planner.  On days the employee is out of office, I want to exclude/re-assign tasks they will be unable to complete .

I have the same question (0)

    One way to see if an individual is out of the office is to check their mail tips for an out of office message.  If the message exists, then the individual is out of the office.  See my example below.

    If the condition is true, then the individual is in the office.

    If the condition is false, then they have an out of office message.

    After running a couple times, I realized my flow was not working as intended.  The condition always returned false when looking for a null value.  I removed the null expression and left it blank.  It now is returning true, but the true test will be when an employee actually turns on Out Of Office.

    @Jace :

    Your condition should look something like this:

    OOO2.jpg

    You need to enter "null" in the expression window and select "null".

    My condition will return as true if there is no out of office message.

    I have tested both yours and Jace's conditional test: @Jace is right - null (correctly entered as an expression) doesn't seem to work, but leaving the condition empty does. Nice method though Scott, thanks for suggesting it.

    Think this only works if someone sets an OOO message. But if theyre are OOO in their calendar but did not set an OOO message, it will not be detected.
