Merging records into a collection based on distinct value

I have a SharePoint list with 5000+ records in the following sample structure

 

VisitDateBooking_RefUser_NameTeam
14/01/21DD111John SmithTeam1
15/01/21DD111John SmithTeam1
16/01/21DD111John SmithTeam1
21/02/21AF456Alice PeerTeam3
22/02/21AF456Alice PeerTeam3

 

Is it possible to create a collection, using distinct Booking_Ref, showing the first and last start date. So the collection would be :-

 

Start DateEnd DateBooking_RefUser_NameTeam 
14/01/2116/01/21DD111John SmithTeam1 
21/02/2122/02/21AF456Alice PeerTeam3

    Your main problem will be that you will not get a Distinct list of Booking_Ref values.  Distinct is not delegable, so it will only give you the distinct values of the first X records.  Where X is the record limit you have set in your app.

     

    I would suggest creating an ancillary SharePoint list that will contain all of the distinct Booking_Ref values.  Then you can use that list as the source and then lookup the remaining start and end dates from the primary list.
