Dropdown doesnt show items after imported into another tenant

Hello guys,

I made a Solution containing 17 Dataverse Tables, an App and 10 Environmental Variables.

I exported that solution as managed for another tenant.

After importing it, it starts really great. Setting the Enviromental Variables worked as intended.

But If I try to select Drop down items where the Dataverse Table should come up. There is nothing. No selectable item.

What did I wrong, or what additional information you need ?

Is the Environment variable pointing to the correct environment?
Is the table has data?
Can you share the Items property of the dropdown?

Its unbelievable....

All Data tables are empty and all Box Items are set to none....

is this always happening when you export unmanaged?

More interesting is, that the Solution checker didn't found it

Hi @Anonymous

When you move the solution from one environment to other only the structure ( schemas, app) are moving NOT data. We have to use other tools like Import Data or Configuration Migration or XRMToolbox to move data from one to another environment.

Does the data move too if you export a managed package to another tenant?

Nope it does not you need to migrate the data /write it into these tables @StalinPonnusamy mentioned some useful tools aswell

Sorry for the late response. I assume we are discussing the master or configuration data. If yes then master/ configuration data won't move from one environment to another either managed or unmanaged. Only the Choice/Choices will move with Solution. As I mentioned you have to use some mechanism to migrate your data from one environment to another.

Data Export and Import (OOB)
Configuration Migration
XRMToolbox (Community Developed tool)
CDS Data migrator
Data migration tool
Custom code (c# or VB)
