SharePoint items only visible by Power Apps

Hi,

 

we would like to show only items from a sharepoint list created by the currently user. We used the filter function in a gallery on PowerApps. It's working fine. But everyone can open the SharePoint list and see all data from all user. We save sensetive data. In this way no one should see, edit or delete the SharePoint list via SharePoint Website.

 

Have somebody a great idea how I can fixed it?

By the way: we can't use Preminum, our bugdet is very low. 😔

    Power Apps does not provide a security layer for SharePoint.  In general users will need permission to the back end data source in order to work with the data in SharePoint.  You can use HTTP REST calls to set custom permissions on each list item, but that is time consuming and difficult.  You can also set the versioning settings for the list so that only the original author and approvers can edit an item.  See the screenshot below.

    The only real way to solve this is through governance policy.  Teach your users to only use Power Apps to make changes to that list and then audit to enforce the policy.
