A client that we built a PowerApps app for to add, edit and view patient records - the data is sourced and stored in associated SharePoint lists.
Now the app works perfectly in modern IOS devices and in modern browsers and Windows Apps,
However the client is using some older IPad 2s and older IPhones that are using IOS9.3.5.
For devices using this IOS version for both the browser and native app certain widgets are not working correctly. Most prominent is the dropdowns and combo boxes that are either standalone widgets (for filtering patient records) or as datacards nested inside a form that sources the fields from SharePoint. When clicked these controls do not work at all and the user is unable to either filter the SharePoint patient records or select a category to complete the form.
My question to Microsoft is will there be any update or patching of PowerApps to extend backward compatibility to earlier versions of IOS (namely 9.3.5)?
I should also add that radio buttons etc work without any issue. So the problem is limited to certain widgets that the older IOS version doesn't seem to support.
Also has anyone else had the same issue and were you able to find any potential workarounds to get dropdowns to work on earlier IOS versions?
