Hello,Is there a limit of 5,000 records for Dataverse lookup columns? Its my first time building tables and one lookup column from a table of over 12,000 records doesn't work. My initial reading suggests there's a 5,000 record limit but there are ways around this via Automate. Are these 'workarounds' accepted as valid and don't have any negative features?
Thanks
@MrSheen you can paging the result and include in a array.
But power automate is not recommend to do it this type of job, for a large number of data. You will gonna struggle with the limits from Dataverse and Power Automate
Are you creating a model-driven app or a canvas app?
lookup columns will be able to search all records when you type in a search criteria. Be sure to configure your Quick Find view to select which columns are being searched.
5000 was the default count limit when displaying a view, it would say 5000+ records when there were more (model-driven). Hopefully that helps.
Hi @MrSheen
Depending on what you are doing, if it is a Canvas App or Model Driven
In the case of the first, if it is a Lookup where you must show values and they are 12000, unless you make a filter and handle the delegation issue, you will have many problems finding the record. Maybe you can also use search to search the record using the first words or endwith or starwith
In the case of Model Driven you do not have those delegation problems and just by writing the first three letters you would have it
Thanks all for your help. Stupidly the data table I was trying to lookup from wasn't populated so now it is everything works. Thanks again.
you can get upto 100000 records using List rows using webapi
