Comparing special character in dataverse column with PA

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with special characters from the german language - ä,ö,ü

I am using the List rows action and OData to filter specific rows. Let's say I want to filter a row with a name.

The name I want to filter is "Ala". When I filter the power automate action just like directly in dataverse, I will also get the name Äla.

Which leads to found item = true where false should be entered, which in the end leads to more problems. As far as I know there is no exact match for Odata. Is there any other workaround to prohibit finding similar matches?

Thanks for your help

    Hi @Lucas001 ,

Based on my test, Filter array would recognize special characters:

    Hi @v-jefferni,

when I understand your flow correct the list row filtered with Odata to Ala still returns Äla, correct?

Only the filter Array later on eliminates that error.

    Hi @Lucas001 ,

Your understanding is correct. The Odata filter query just narrowed down the outputs and then using filter array to get the results.

    Best regards,

    Hi @v-jefferni,

is the Odata filter intended to do it like that?

Do you know if there is a way to really get the exact Match? I don't want to receive "Ä"s when searching for "A"s and the other way around.

    Hi @Lucas001 ,

Actually, Ä and A are considered exact the same in Dataverse. So, I don't think it's doable with Odata filter query.

    Best regards,
