I'm trying to figure out how to check to see if someone has loaded a picture to the SharePoint List Column field in PowerApps, However I'm having a hard time figuring out where to put the code at in the form field advance properties or should it go else where?

I'm not 100% positive that this is correct:
If(!IsBlank(ThisItem.Vehicle1Image),
ThisItem.Vehicle1Image,
"https://<>/sites/<>/SiteAssets/WaitingforImage.jpg"
)

Where would I put this code if it is correct.

    Hello,

You can achieve your goal by putting your condition in the image Control of the image field concerned.

Be careful however, to replace the image you will have to base yourself on the data returned by the image object control and not ThisItem. which refers to the data already recorded (in NewForm mode, Thisitem is blank)

you can replace the default formula in the ImageX.Image property :

    by a simple :

    Coalesce(AddPicture1.Media, Parent.Default, "https://jollycontrarian.com/images/6/6c/Rickroll.jpg")

The image field will be updated by your default image until the user upload his own

this is close, however, I want the image to actually be in the column, I see it in the form field,

    Image Advance Property:

    Coalesce(AddPicture1.Media, Parent.Default, "https://jollycontrarian.com/images/6/6c/Rickroll.jpg")

However, I want it to be in the SharePoint list column as an image, until the end user replaces it.

    Is this possible?

I have tried the JSON method within the SharePoint column, that doesn't work

If you want your defualt image uploaded to the sharepoint image field, you'll have to upload your image in the media section of your app.

Because you can't parse image data from URL
