Cannot rename and move a file

Hello there,

I am using a desktop flow to download the file from the website.

The file is in .xlsx format which gets stored in the download folder. The file name is "TEST-Price-List-4_28_2022, 2_27_54 AM"

 

I want to remove the time stamp from the file and move it to another folder.

 

I have created a desktop flow but since the time and date change every time it shows an error in re-naming and moving it.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

    The downloaded file is TEST-Price-List-M_DD_YYYY, H_MM_SS AM/PM

    While you download the file at times it shows the name of the file that is going to be downloaded. Is that the case with you?

     

    What is the new name you want to give?

    If the new name is TEST-Price-List then simply rename the above downloaded file as that.

     

    Please share further details if you are looking for something more.

    After downloading:

    Get files with file filter = *.xlsx, click on advanced, sort by Date Last Modified = Descending

     

    This makes it so the most recent Excel file will always be the first in the list of %Files%. Now you can reference the file as %Files[0]%.

     

    use move files or rename files to using %Files[0]% and your own logic to rename/move it to whatever/wherever you want.
