Custom SharePoint form is resetting without saving

I have created a custom form in PowerApps for a SharePoint list, and sometimes when a user saves the form after editing or doing a new entry, the form clears everything they entered without saving (it essentially resets to the most recent version or for a new item, it clears the form and doesn't create a new item). I am using the standard save/cancel buttons nothing custom. I have not been able to find a pattern to this. I am running a flow in the OnSuccess but the flow is not triggering when this happens. Is there something I can put into the OnFailure so that it doesn't lose everything that was entered? Or some other possible cause? It's causing a lot of re-work.

SharePointIntegration settings

OnCancel: ResetForm(formname)

OnEdit: EditForm(formname)

OnNew: NewForm(formname)

OnSave: SubmitForm(formname)

OnView: ViewForm(formname)

Form settings

OnSuccess: flowname.Run(formname.LastSubmit.ID); ResetForm(Self); RequestHide()

OnReset: false

OnFailure: false

    Hi @scl06 ,

Could you please modify the flow with another action in SharePoint "When an item is created or modified" and apply it on SharePoint list/library?

You will be able to retrieve the item ID by this action:

Then change OnSave property to default:

    SubmitForm(formname); ViewForm(formname)

    Hope this helps.

I am getting this error in the Respond to a PowerApp or Flow when I try to pick the ID from the trigger.

    Hi @scl06 ,

Could you please tell me that why would you like to retrieve the last submitted item ID to PowerApps? Since in SP list once submit successfully the Edit form pane would hide, the ID would be useless even if it could be retrieved.

I am using that to run the flow after the form is saved, so it passes the ID to the flow. When I first built the flow I found that with a "when an item is modified" trigger it was sometimes missing iterations of modifications if they were done too quickly so some searching suggested that I trigger the flow this way.

    Hi @scl06 ,

SharePoint triggers would be recommended to apply on the list itself, on list's command bar:

With the Flow is triggered in SP list or library by "when an item is created or modified", you will be able to retrieve the item ID in next step.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you. I re-built the flow to trigger in the SP list as you recommended and removed the flow from the OnSuccess in the form, however the form is still showing the same behavior. E.g., I updated an item 6 times, and during 2 of those times the form reset without saving and I lost my updates.
