Hi @Tapesh ,
Does the Editform4 represents the Form2 that you mentioned?
Could you please share a bit more about your scenario? Do you want to populate a Dropdown box based on selected value within the DataCardValue12 in the Form1?
Further, do you mean that the Dropdown2 could not be populated with available options when you navigate from your Form1 to your Form2?
Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue is related to SubmitForm() function used in the "Submit" button within your Form1 screen.
When you click the "Submit" button to submit your Form1 data, the SubmitForm(EditForm1) formula would be executed. When the SubmitForm(EditForm1) formula executes successfully, the Editform1 would be reset, so the DataCardValue12.Selected.Value formula would be reset and return Blank value.
As an alternative solution, you could consider store the selected value within the DataCardValue12 into a variable, and then use this variable as filter value within the Filter formula you specified. Please consider take a try with the following workaround:
Set the OnSelect property of the "Submit" button in your Form1 screen to following:
Set(SelectedUnitName, DataCardValue12.Selected.Value); // Add this formula
SubmitForm(EditForm1);
ResetForm(EditForm4)
Within your Form2, set the Items property of the Dropdown2 to following:
Filter('Unit Codes', 'Unit Name' = SelectedUnitName)
set the Update property of the Dropdown2 field data card to following:
Dropdown2.Selected.'Total Balance'
Note: Also please remove the formula within the Default property of Dropdown2. I assume that the 'Unit Name' field is a Text type field in your 'Unit Codes' SP List. If the 'Unit Name' field is a Choice type field, you need to modify above Filter formula as below:
Filter('Unit Codes', 'Unit Name'.Value = SelectedUnitName)
If the Dropdown2 is actually a ComboBox control, and you want to set a default value within this ComboBox, please set the DefaultSelectedItems property to following:
{
'Total Balance': "Specific Value"
}
Note: I assume you specify the 'Total Balance' field as display column value within the ComboBox.
In addition, you could also consider take a try with the following another solution:
Set the OnSuccess property of the Form1 to following:
Navigate(Screen1, ScreenTransition.Fade, {SelectedUnitName: EditForm1.LastSubmit.'Unit Name Field'.Value}); ResetForm(EditForm4)
Note: The 'Unit Name Field' represents the field in EditForm1, which is related to the DataCardValue12.
Within your Form2, set the Items property of the Dropdown2 to following::
Filter('Unit Codes', 'Unit Name' = SelectedUnitName)
Best regards,
