Get Details of the UI Element gives back NULL Values

Hi,

I am trying to retrieve details/text from an UI element. PAD detects the UI element, but doesn't give back the Text value.

I'm trying to get the value below = €25,00

Selector:

Flow:

And the output which I have no idea what's going on 🙂

When i change get attribute 'own text' to 'exists', the value returns true. So i do not know why the value is null/0 when it is €25

The display message box shows an 'i' of information because i put display message on information, when i remove that i get this display message box:

Trying to get text from other activities don't work. I can Click on the activities though which is weird?

What happens when you give the Attribute name as Name in the Get details window?

Can i ask where you found documentation/information on changing the attribute name to 'Name'?

Your original selector was looking for a element "edit" with exact name equal to "25E"
So when you followed @VJR 's advice and you removed the exact value, it it now matching the "edit" element despite of it's name.

Thanks for your knowledge 🙂

When you say its now matching the "edit" element, does that mean whenever i get a value that is not '€' it will still retrieve the value? Because right now i just made two elements, one for retrieving values containing the '€' and one for 'not available'.
