You could be attempting to filter by a null value in the expression "WorkActivity_ID eq null",
It seems like 'varFrmItem_Project.'Project ID' might be null at the time when the filter formula is trying to run. This could be due to a couple of reasons:
The variable varFrmItem_Project might not have been initialized correctly or is not in scope at the point of execution.
The SharePoint list might not have a row selected, or the selected row doesn't have a value in the 'Project ID' column.
Here are a few ways to debug and try to resolve the issue:
1. Check Initialization of varFrmItem_Project Variable: Ensure that the variable varFrmItem_Project is initialized properly before this formula is used. You might be trying to access the variable before it has been set, which would make it null.
2. Check 'Project ID' Value: Make sure that 'Project ID' in the SharePoint list always has a value, and that value is being properly set in varFrmItem_Project.
3. Add Error Checking: You might want to add some error checking before the filter function to ensure that varFrmItem_Project.'Project ID' is not null. You could use the IsBlank function for this.
Here's an example of how you might modify your expression with error checking:
If(IsBlank(varFrmItem_Project.'Project ID'),
Notify("Project ID is blank", NotificationType.Error),
First(Filter(Table1, WorkActivity_ID = varFrmItem_Project.'Project ID'))
)
This way, if 'Project ID' is blank, you can see a notification and the filter part of the formula should not be run, avoiding the error.
4. Check Data Types: Ensure that the data types of WorkActivity_ID and varFrmItem_Project.'Project ID' are compatible.
You mentioned that one is Text and the other is Short Text. Even though this should not usually cause issues, it' may be worth checking on just in case.
