Filter a gallery by list value

Hello, I have an app connected to a sharepoint list. The data source is called 'Call Log'. My goal was to filter off any records where the status <> Completed, but my existing filter statement is only hiding the values, not preventing the entire record from appearing, which is where my request comes in.

In this example, the Items formula is clearing the Title field and the progress field only. Is there a way to have this entire record removed from a filter?

SortByColumns(Filter([@'Call Log'],'Progress'.Value<> "Completed" && StartsWith('Company Name', TextSearchBox1.Text)), "Title", If(SortDescending1, SortOrder.Descending, SortOrder.Ascending))

Without filter applied:

    @ademboski ,

    Silly question but have you tried your formula in Preview? Normally, if you are in edit mode, your custom text will be displayed anyway. Once "Play" button is pressed it should disappear.
    Can't see any issue with your code.

    Oh my goodness.... insert feeling of shame I hadn't tried that... lol. It worked as expected in play mode. Thank you for your suggestion!
