Rookie Q. About proper data delegation in Browse Gallery View

I have a store list (StoreList) of about 850 location which is over the 500 limit.

I'm trying to delegate properly using a cominbiation of a dropdown for the province selection and then a search bar to search from the results that popular in the browse gallary view after the province selection.

When I only use a Filter (dropdown) for province selection, it works (no blue dot warning) and all results are available.

I tried to include the search as well (below), but I get the blue dot warning and am not getting all records.

Filter(Search(StoreList,TextInput2.Text,"CITY"), Province = Dropdown5.Selected.Value)

Any help will appreciated on how I can add text search functionality with a dropdown filter control.

    Hi @NickK,

Please change the formula as below:

    Filter(StoreList, startswith(CITY, TextInput2.Text), Province = Dropdown5.Selected.Value)

If the formula above won't work as expected, then try the following:

    Filter(StoreList, TextInput2.Text in CITY, Province = Dropdown5.Selected.Value)

The formula above should work for delegation.

    Thanks! @v-micsh-msft

The first option works with delegation (awesome!).

The only issue that I noticed is that it seems whenever the text input is blank, it triggers an error in the app; "The query is not valid".

Is there a way to block specific warnings or errors?

    Hi @NickK,

    Try the formula below?

    Filter(If(IsBlank(TextSearchBox1.Text),'Testing list',Filter('Testing list', StartsWith(SText, TextSearchBox1.Text))),Title="Text input")

    Regards,

    Michael
