Can I perform a REST call without a gateway using Power Automate?

Sorry, if this is a simple question. I am new to Power Automate.

 

I am trying to do a simple REST Post call with Power Automate. I created a Custom Connector that goes to the URL and has the JSON body I am trying to send in. When I go to test it, I've noticed my URL changes so it's not my hostname/<URLpath>. Instead it's https://msmanaged-na.azure-apim.net/apm/l-3734428533f6ac69/-8599-9a8b79f1/<URLpath>. 

 

I'm just trying to do a REST Post call like I can in Postman (as shown in the image below).  Is this possible in Power Automate?

    Power Automate uses APIM under the hood to action your request, so this might be expected.  Does your call work correctly still?

     

    If your looking for a simpler implementation why not use the HTTP connector?
