Assign User(s) to Task from Forms option

I currently have a Form that is set up to create a task in Planner. Everything is working except when I try to assign a user. It always chokes up at "assign user ids" as the form adds "" to the email address. Not to mention I am not sure how it would institute multiple users. Does anyone know a workaround?
