Using CDS entities as DataSource extremely buggy?

Hi,

I've been fiddling around with powerapps for two weeks now and have the impression that its still extremely buggy.

Especially two problems leave me with no clue how to fix it.

1. Refreshing datasources breaks lookupfields: As the name says refreshing the CDS datasources of a custom entity breaks its lookupfields. I can still choose an entity from the combobox but the default item just doesnt show anymore. I have two app versions and the datacards/combobox settings are completly the same. Am I missing something? The lookupfields on the entity declaratation were not changed.

2. Changing the environment language in CRM breaks lookupfields and other stuff: The first thing i tried here was importing translations for my entities as i was used to it in CRM. This didnt work out as expected and I read about using an ExcelTable instead. Additionally when I reopened the PowerApps studio after changing the language it would not find the corresponding fields anymore because the names of the datacards settings were changed to their german counterparts where possible. Changing back to english, reopening the App, refreshing the datasources didnt really help either.

3. Just this morning the OptionSet for the StatusCode suddenly used the German counterpart. I was trying to achieve this yesterday with no luck. The funny thing.. the CRM's language was english.

What is happening here? Am I the only one having those problems? Isn't there any useful way

to debug this stuff?

Cheers
Andy

EDIT: I saved and published the App and suddenly the fields show again. Strange.

Hi @Anonymous that is quite strange. Are you still experiencing these issues?
