Hello Experts,
How do i patch 'Like' to sharepoint list.
I would like to set the onselect property to patch like to sharepoint list.
If the person has already liked it then 'like' button should be grayed out.
Please help
@AshishJaiswal ,
Two questions (quite separate) there. If you are running the Patch from the icon (assuming a text field here)
Patch( ListName, ThisItem, {YourLikeField:"Like"} )
DisplayMode of icon
If( ThisItem.LikeField="Like", DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Edit )
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
@WarrenBelz Hello Sir,
Getting below error
Patch('MyList',ThisItem,{'Liked By':"Like"})
About the column and its type
What type of field is that?
@WarrenBelz
Does not help - what type of field is it in SharePoint Field Definition? I have never used Ratings - how does it show?
Can you please go to List Settings and show me the field
I have never used that field type - try FieldName.Value as the property.
I did a test here and could not even get the field to come up in a form or Gallery.
What properties do you have on that icon in the gallery?
@WarrenBelz To get that field to come up
you need to change the below setting in your sharepoint list under rating
