Gallery turns empty when searching for as example Employee Name

Hello everybody,

As a newbie I am trying to build my first app. Now have the issue that my gallery turns empty as soon as I enter a value in the text input. The text input that is supposed to trigger a search in the gallery. Used very simple code in the Items property of the gallery ( Search(Table1, TextInput5.Text , "Employee Name").

Table1 is the table in the Excel file used as source (Onedrive), "Employee Name" is the column name in that same table.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Is the Employee Name column also a text field?

Why not use the Sharepoint list for this?

Sharepoint list is a Datasource that provides better functionality and operations compared to Excel
You can create one from your Excel Sheet and add it as a data source to your application
