Can I use a previous powerapps release on a new app version

I havea powerapp which ran perfectly on Powerapps Release 3.1952.20, and after the new powerapps release to 3.19064.13 and newer, it doesn't work as it previously did. I started getting issues using multiple data sources on galleries and forms. I have 2 questions:

  1. Can I update my app to a newer version, whilst running on a previous powerapps release
  2. What changed in the updates on powerapps?

    Could you please check if refresh the data source could solve this issue.?

    If not, could you please try to delete the old one and readd the data source to have a test?
