I receive an error message after I import an Excel Sheet to my table, it does not import the data I have added.

I receive the following error message,

Hi @AndrePretorius,

The error indicates that the read privilege is missing on your Prospects table for the owner Team with ID = e84e36b3-d0af-eb11-8236-000d3abafd44.

You can browse to your Team table to find the Team name that corresponds with that ID, then you need to confirm if that Team is assigned a security role that has read permissions to that Prospects table.

Chris - i have the exact same problem. I do not understand your solution steps.

1. Browse to Team table - okay
2. "to find the Team name that corresponds with that ID" - i do not understand what to do
3. "then you need to confirm if that Team is assigned a security role that has read permissions to that Prospects table." - I do not understand what steps these are.

Could you explain the steps in more detail ?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your reply.

I am still new to Power Apps. I checked teams under the Power Apps admin center and the team and user has read-write permission. I as the user have a system admin role assigned as well.

I still get the same error. The only way I can get data to import is if I choose the option Edit data in Excel.

But I am unable to import an excel sheet I have added data into.

Hi @AndrePretorius1,

The error indicates that the Team itself does not have the read privileges. When you are importing the data, who are you setting as the owner of the record? Is it yourself, or is it a Team? Will need a bit more information to better troubleshoot this. Can you provide a screenshot of the following:

A snippet of the Excel showing one or more of the rows that fail to import.

The Team in question and its assigned security roles

A screenshot of the security roles it assigned, particularly the custom tab that shows privileges for your Prospect table

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your help.

I was able to fix it. The issue I had was with licenses.

My office and Power Apps was assigned to different accounts and so I had no office license on the trial version of Power Apps I was running.

Once I had an office license linked to my User on my PowerApps it seemed to import correctly.

Perhaps this also fixed my read/write privilege's.
