Date from Excel file is not retrieved properly

Hi, I'm building a flow to send a notification to the HR Admin in case that somebody's contract end date is in 60 days or earlier. I have the HR data in excel file and my flow looks like this:

The flow runs smoothly, but somehow does not evaluate the conditions. Conditions look like this:

sara_bartosova_1-1718375180749.png

The excel file has data in this format:

sara_bartosova_2-1718375283320.png

When I did not have there the "null" conditions, it somehow retrieved the data and send me an email about everybody who did not have Contract End date filled in. Now it does not send an email and the flow checker looks like this:

Does somebody have any idea where might be an issue? I thought it's the formatting of the date in excel file, but did not find a solution to this on my own. 😞

Looks like the data is not coming as null…as it is in dateformat may be the default date is coming as input..try to check the runtime values to know what is getting fetched when date is null..or may be it can be an empty string as well

    cheers

    Hi @sara_bartosova ,

Do you mean that the Condition always returns false?

The Date in excel table is in "yyyy-MM-dd" format default, but you are using "mm/DD/yy" format in utcNow, so please modify compared date to same format firstly.

Note: You also need to turn on this setting firstly, otherwise the date of excel table will be in serial number.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

yes, thanks, I also came up with this solution. Also changed the conditions a bit and now it all works.

    Kind regards,

    Sara
