Looking for help - Table creation problems

Hello guys!

I work with soil tests and I am thinking about creat an APP to help me at field, but I am having some trouble to build the table to import to PowerApps. My equipment register the number of a hammer´s blow to drill rods with 1 meter each. I have to register the number of blows to the rods penetrate 0,1 meters until it penetrate 15 meters. The thing is:

>> I do more than 1 field test per day, so the app must have the "add" option. As you can see in picture, for each depth I have to register the number of blows (N'10) and how deep it penetrated.

Testes.PNGSo, how do I have to create a table that works with it and allows me to add a new field test as I need?

It must be separeted in a menu for each meter, so when the user click on depth 2 for example, it opens a screen that have the information from depth 2 (from 1,1 meter to 2,0 meter) than user can insert the information and save to go to depth 3 and so on.

    Hi @JoaoN ,

Do you want to filter items according to depth and update all the filtered data in one "form"?

I've made a smilar test for your reference:

Insert a gallery( custom the gallery, inset two textinput controls) and a drop down

Set the drop down's Items: ["depth1","depth2","depth3","depth4"]

    Set the gallery's Items:

    Filter(tablename,RoundUp(meter,0)=Value(Substitute(Dropdown1.Selected.Value,"depth","")))

    Custom the gallery:

    1)choose the pen icon7102 (2).png

    2)insert two textinput controls

    3)set the textinput1's Default: ThisItem.filename1

                   textinput2's Default: ThisItem.filename2

    Set the arrow's Onseletc:

    Patch(d,ThisItem,{fieldname1:TextInput1.Text,fieldname2:TextInput2.Text})7103.png

Then, the gallery will display all the items according to the depth you choose and you could update them in the gallery.

    Thank you @v-yutliu-msft!!

I'm going to try your solution as soon as possible (I am on a business travel), but I already have a question. Is there a way to use a "menu" as when we set a vertical Gallery instead of using a dropdown menu?

I am asking this cause I think will be more intuitive like the vertical gallery menu for my employees. So basically the app menus will be like this:

    |Test 01 > | Depth 1 > 0,1m to 1,0m
    | Depth 2 > 1,1m to 2,0m
    | .....

In the "Test" menu I intend to include the "add" option to add as tests as I need. So when the user click on arrow, he goes to the depth menu that is from 1 to 15. Each deph menu will have the information from that meter (ex: depth 13 > 13,1m to 14m).

Anyway thank you and I will reply to you when I try your solution!!

    Hi @v-yutliu-msft !

I tested your solution and I have a question. On "RoundUp" function you insert "meter" as a number parameter.

When I try to use as you showed me, it tells me that there is a problem (It just accept number). So I tought that you did a table called "meter" that contains the same numbers as the collumm "meter" in your table called "d". Then I created a table and tryed to use but it shows the same error.

    Problema (meter).PNG

So I tryed to use not a new table, but my depth collumm from the table "SOLOMAP1", error again. Then, just to use the function as it says, I insert the number 1 at RoundUp function and it shows all the depth from 0.1 to 15.

    Problema (1).PNG

If I choose "depth2" on the dropdown menu, nothing shows on the gallery. I don´t know what is going on!! Could you help me?

Obs: I don´t know why, but in portuguese version of OFFICE the "," is not valid on the functions (the ";" is the right way to do it)

    Thank you!!!

    Best regards,

    JoaoN

My bad. I think the problem is that I didn´t publish the app. Now it is working!

    Thank you!!!
