Distinct Searchable Combo Box

Hi all,

I believe there is a bug in the combo box - when I set the items to

Sort(Distinct(Filter(Service_Systems,Supplier.Id = ACTIVESUPPLIER.ID),Name),Result,Ascending)

It populates correctly, when I switch isSearchable to true, no items are populated and typing does nothing.

There are no issues - just a warning for large data sets, but this is not an issue for us

    Hey mate,

Distinct has issues on large datasets. If it's an SQL source, you can just create a view that grabs distinct records from where you're looking and this will fix the delegation issue.

Try removing Distinct() from that statement and seeing if it works.

    Hi @Jamie1 ,

Currently, the Distinct function is not a Delegable function within PowerApps, which could not be applied to a Delegable data source, otherwise, it would cause a Delegation warning issue.

Based on the issue that mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. the screenshot as below:

The "IsSearchable" option of above ComboBox has been enabled.

As an alternative solution, please consider modify your formula as below:

    Sort(
     GroupBy(Filter(Service_Systems,Supplier.Id = ACTIVESUPPLIER.ID), "Name", "GroupData"),
     Name,
     Ascending
    )

then check if the issue is solved.

Please consider re-add a new ComboBox into your app screen, then try above formula again, check if the issue is fixed. Also Please check if your "Service_Systems" data source is a Delegable data source

    Best regards,
